Publication standards
Editorial Guidelines
These guidelines explain how The UrleBird evaluates, edits, publishes, and maintains articles. They apply to staff content, invited contributions, and guest submissions.
Our priority is simple: publish original work that gives readers clear, accurate, and practical value.
1. Originality and ownership
- Submissions must be original and not published elsewhere in the same or substantially similar form.
- Authors must own or have permission to use all submitted text, images, charts, and other media.
- Plagiarism, article spinning, impersonation, and undisclosed reuse are not accepted.
- Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of their submissions.
2. Reader value and relevance
- Each article should answer a clear question, explain a useful idea, or help a defined audience take an informed next step.
- Titles and introductions must accurately represent the article.
- Avoid filler, repeated points, clickbait, keyword stuffing, and exaggerated claims.
- Choose the most relevant publication category rather than forcing a topic into several categories.
3. Accuracy and sources
- Check names, dates, statistics, quotations, product details, and technical instructions before submission.
- Link important factual claims to reputable primary or authoritative sources where possible.
- Clearly distinguish fact, professional opinion, personal experience, and prediction.
- Health, legal, and financial articles must be especially careful, appropriately qualified, and not presented as individualized professional advice.
4. Links and commercial relationships
- Links must be relevant to the surrounding sentence and useful to readers.
- We may add, edit, mark, replace, or remove links and promotional wording.
- Affiliate, sponsored, paid, employer, client, or other material relationships must be disclosed to the editors.
- We do not accept links whose main purpose is to promote adult content, gambling or betting, alcohol, illegal activity, deceptive finance, harmful products, malware, or misleading services.
5. Style and formatting
- Use a descriptive title, logical H2/H3 headings, short paragraphs, and plain language.
- Prefer specific examples and actionable detail over vague claims.
- Use lists and tables only when they improve comprehension.
- Write in clear international English and proofread before submission.
6. Images and media
- Provide high-quality, relevant media with a license or permission suitable for publication.
- Include creator and source details when attribution is required.
- Do not submit deceptive, manipulated, explicit, or privacy-invasive media.
- We may replace, resize, crop, compress, or remove media to fit the publication.
7. Editing, decisions, and corrections
- Editors may revise titles, structure, grammar, tone, formatting, excerpts, images, categories, and links.
- Submission does not guarantee acceptance or a publication date.
- Published articles may be updated, corrected, consolidated, unpublished, or removed when quality, accuracy, safety, legal, or policy concerns arise.
- Material factual errors should be reported through our Contact Us page.
8. Responsible use of AI
AI tools may assist with research organization, outlining, or language improvement, but the submitting author must personally verify the final article. Fabricated sources, invented quotations, generic mass-generated copy, and undisclosed automation that compromises accuracy are not accepted.
Before you submit
- Confirm the article is original and useful.
- Verify important facts and sources.
- Review every outbound link.
- Disclose relevant commercial relationships.
- Proofread the final document and include media rights information.
